35 and 37 Weeks

This installment of belly pictures is brought to you via Instagram! I am now 37 weeks which means full term! And today I finished up with my classes, so the baby can come whenever he pleases. I was just hoping he would stay in until my classes finished and he did. I have been trying to guzzle down lots of water this past week and I think it is making me feel better, though in what way I have no idea. I believe that I have also been having more false/practice contractions lately. I also went on one single walk this week, but while I am at work I do spend a good chunk of time on my feet so I think that half counts-the doctor was not buying my idea though, so I am trying to make an effort to walk more to try to get the baby to realize that his eviction date is fast approaching. My husband is actually leaving for basic training the 29th of this month, so I really want this baby to make his debut either early or on time, but not late. Really, I would not mind having the baby a tad late because things are going pretty good still, but once we found out when he was leaving I changed my mind about that and feel that he should not come after his due date of the 23rd.

Progress of My Belly

Just last night I found my old camera and lo and behold it had the first pregnancy picture that was taken. I remember thinking that I was showing a little, but really I don't think so now.
About 12 weeks I believe. I was feeling terrible, which I think actually shows a little in the picture.

This one was at five months. How many weeks would that be? Looks like it was at 21 weeks

This is somewhere in between 21 weeks and 22 weeks.

And then nothing until 30 weeks

34 Weeks

I am now 34 weeks pregnant, which means I am about 6 weeks away from having a baby! Eek! That is a little scary. My husband put together the crib today and I believe I have started nesting. I began cleaning like a maniac-well, maniac to me. I am starting to get quite nervous about having a baby, I feel like I am still too young to be a mom, but I have an awesome mom to look up to and so I think I got some pretty good training growing up! :]

I have gained almost 40 pounds! I am starting to feel like a big blob, though I know I should not complain because I am still pretty small. It is only now getting hard to bend down, stand for a long time,  fingers swelling to look like sausages, ect. and I do not have too much longer.

I can now feel what I believe is the baby's bum almost all the time and when I watch my belly it looks like the baby is doing body rolls and high kicks inside there.

My husband had the idea to take pictures from the tree! A more flattering angle for me.

Baby Shower

My husband's family is from Indiana and this last week we were able to visit them and had a baby shower as well! It was so nice to be able to meet his relatives and to relax.

This is Lake Michigan. I was amazed that a lake could look like an ocean.

Trying White Castle for the first time.

The baby shower was nautical themed and was beautiful!

His aunt added the "mom" and "dad" letters to the hats. I thought it was a cute addition. Also, I am realizing that I am quite un-photogenic, but alas, I wanted to share the pictures anyway!

This little food cutter here is something that I saw my mom use a lot growing up. I was so excited when I found one in the store and was even more excited when I opened it! I think it will be put to good use.

I thought this was such a neat thing. The clothes were all pinned on the line!

30 Weeks

I am now 30 weeks pregnant! Woohoo! Ten more weeks to go. The baby has now decided that his behind belongs in my ribs and wiggles around a lot! My grandma passed away this last week and there was a funeral service for her today. It was very nice and was great to spend time with family. There was a get together after the funeral at my grandparent's house and I love their yard. It is big and beautiful!

It was an overcast-y day. Makes the lighting to pretty.

Belly picture. I am amazed at how much I am growing.

My Week in Pictures

This is my last week in Instagram pictures. I am feeling quite vain having my face smack dab in the middle, but that is okay.
Top left: Girl Scout Cookies. Yummy! Luckily I have not eaten too many yet.
Top Right: My Valentine's Day gift. Unfortunately the plant is not quite dead. :[ Still have my black thumb.
Bottom Left: My garden box! We have had great weather lately so my husband put together this box for the garden this summer.
Bottom Right: 28 week belly in the bathroom. Quite classy.

Sew For Victory

I had seen this sewing challenge a few weeks back, but figured that I did not feel like trying to alter patterns and make a big mess and try to get something to work for my ever changing figure. Then yesterday I came across this on Va-Voom Vintage's blog and thought I could try it out for myself. I purchased the pattern yesterday. Luckily there was a Butterick sale going on. Now I just need some fabric and I can get this going!

Bountiful Baskets Prelude

I am trying to get better at cooking food, and by cooking I mean not just heating something up in the microwave. I was going gung-ho with menu planning until I got pregnant...and sick...and the thought of the kitchen made me nauseous. I have been trying again, now that I am not sick, to menu plan and make meals again. I cannot say I really enjoy the process, but it is growing on me. This last week both my husband and I were home at the same time for dinner one night! I decided that would be the day to fire up the grill and make some kabobs! We used pieces from our Bountiful Basket-pineapple, onion and green peppers- and some mushrooms because we love them and chicken that had been marinated in a little marinade packet mix. This was served over some brown rice and we both liked it! Success!

All pictures were taken by my husband!
